Halloween is coming! And it will be awesome! Halloween, its the decorations and the activities that go with the theme : cats, spiders, candies and ghosts!
Today, I’m proposing to you an activity 2 in 1 for Halloween that will make you a wonderful decoration and a super fun activity!
During the summer, you might have hear or even buy something called “le blanc de Meudon”. That’s what we will use for our activity!
Materials for the activity :
- Blanc de Meudon
- Water
- A pot
- Sponge or paintbrush
In the pot, let your kid pour the blanc de Meudon and a bit of water to make something close to white watercolor paint. (Around 1 part of Meudon and ½ part of water. Mix.
Then depend on their age and skills, they or you paint your windows with this “paint” you just made. To be sure the light keeps coming inside the house, I advice painting only the lower half of the windows. After all, the sun helps heat up the house and during this time of the year it’s needed.
Now, it’s time for the fun part!
Your kid can now draw ghosts in the blanc de Meudon with their fingers! They will recover your windows with tiny ghosts, isn’t that super cute? And it’s a super cool decoration for Halloween!
Now, you have beautiful windows full of cute ghosts. But did you really taugh the fun was over? Of course not!
Now, it’s time for the ghosts hunters!
This activity, you can make it many times during Halloween thanks to the second part of the game!
You will need a water spray and a cloth, then you can go ghost hunting with your kid!
They need to water spray the ghosts and clean everything with the cloth. They will also need to clean all the white (the ghosts slime) to make sure everything is safe again! Wich is super fun!
And make your windows super clean too!
Whats super cool too, is that you can set this activity up again super easily!
Don’t hesitate to change the decorations, like making spider webs or else to keep your kid interested.
